Violating the Code of Conduct
A violation of the duties mentioned above is considered misconduct. Serious misbehavior is
a major and persistent violation of the duties mentioned above. Misconduct that is shown to
occur might result in a warning and punishment. Serious misbehavior, if proven, will result
in dismissal, i.e., termination without cause, and the Organization holds the right to pursue
all available legal remedies
Here are some particular instances of the kinds of unacceptable conduct that might be
considered misconduct and result in formal warnings, final warnings, or termination after
due process. The following list is not meant to be all-inclusive or to suggest that there won’t
be any more instances of dishonesty and misconduct that call for or might lead to
disciplinary action, which could include removal from service, being taken in the case of a
matter dismissal. There is no set sequence in which these samples are listed
- Exhibiting actions that go against Z-JANS ideals
- Slandering Z-JANS and its workers on a variety of websites and media
- Carelessness or negligence in carrying out a responsibility
- Being often absent or late without authorization
- Taking time off without permission or engaging in personal matters while on the job without permission
- Any action or inaction that may jeopardize the security of others
- Interfering with other workers' performance by engaging in personal calls, gambling or solicitations, inappropriate use of mobile phones, etc
- Smoking, drinking, or eating in areas or times that are prohibited. Outside of authorized smoking locations, smoking is not permitted anywhere on building property
- Failing to give a superior sufficient time to arrange a replacement when unable to attend work as scheduled
- Not meeting Z-JANS performance targets; failing to provide a superior enough notice to find a replacement when unable to report to work on time
- Failing to exhibit a serious attitude or lack of diligence in completing tasks
- Enter restricted areas, remove Z-JANS property or records, or take other employees' property without permission
- Using vulgar, offensive, or abusive language while on duty; bringing in weapons or using any object as a weapon's implement
- Failing to obey management's instructions;
- Being absent from work without cause or authorization
- Impaired from performing duties due to alcohol or other drugs or substances
- Unauthorized use of Z-JANS letterhead or logo
- Unauthorized promises made on Z-JANS' behalf
- Misbehavior against other employees, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, etc.
- The employee must abide by legal requirements to declare membership in or association with organizations that could interfere with their ability to perform their duties properly or to fulfill their position
- Willful misuse, mistreatment, or failure to take reasonable care of property
Revision
The company reserves the right to modify this policy.
In the Organization’s best interests, the Z-JANS Chairman authority shall retain the ability
to approve or decide on any situations, circumstances, and exceptions outside this policy’s
parameters
